Software Engineer, QA
We're building the next generation AI Service Desk. We're a small ambitious team that values clarity, autonomy, and craft. Every person here helps shape how modern companies work and how great teams scale impact.
About Siit
Siit is the AI-native service desk for IT and internal ops teams. We help companies automate the requests that slow everyone down — app access, onboarding, device management — directly from Slack and Teams. We're a small, fast-moving team building something genuinely new at the intersection of AI, ITSM, and enterprise integrations.
About the role
We're looking for a Software Engineer QA who thinks in systems, not checklists. As our first dedicated QA hire, you'll build the test infrastructure from the ground up — automated suites, integration harnesses, release gates — and use AI tooling aggressively to punch above your weight. If you care about craftsmanship and hate seeing bugs reach customers, this role is for you.
What you'll do
- Test Automation: Build and maintain automated test suites covering core features, APIs, and integration flows (Okta, Google Workspace, Entra ID, Slack, Jira)
- Integration Testing: Design test harnesses for our integration layer — auth flows, webhook reliability, SCIM sync, token expiry edge cases
- AI Output Consistency: Build eval-style test sets to validate that AI triage, routing, and automation behave reliably across releases — not just pass/fail, but behaviorally correct
- Release Gates: Own the pre-release quality checklist — automated where possible, documented where not — so nothing ships on gut feel
- Regression Coverage: Ensure that workflow and automation logic doesn't silently break when the engine changes
- Bug Pipeline: Reproduce and document issues with enough precision that engineers fix without back-and-forth
About you
- Proficient in test automation tooling — Playwright, Postman, or similar
- Comfortable reading code in Python or TypeScript — you don't write features but you understand what you're testing
- Systematic thinker: you naturally ask "what breaks when X changes?"
- Autonomous and a self-starter — you'll own this function, not just execute tasks
- Proactive about using AI tools to scale your coverage (Cursor, LLM-assisted test generation)
Nice to have
- Experience testing API-heavy or integration-heavy SaaS products
- Familiarity with the IT/HR stack (Okta, Slack, Jira, HRIS tools)
- Any exposure to testing ML/AI outputs or building eval frameworks
Your mission in one line: Your job isn't to find bugs manually — it's to build the system that finds them automatically.
